Great Food & Wine in Downtown Santa Cruz Since opening, our goal has been to provide a comfortable place to drink great wine and eat food that is as good as the wine, and then, if the wine is to your liking, to be able to buy some and take it home. We want wines that are usually a challenge to find: reflective of their origin, expressive of the vineyard and the vintage and the traditions of their region, wines that are not a commodity, but limited and handmade, wines of great provenance and flavor. For us, the fun is in finding the wines, sourcing and making the delicious, wholesome food, and then putting it all together so when our guests walk through the door, night after day, there is something here for them that is real, that satisfies their thirst for the soulful, the delicious, and the well made.

Very nice wine selection. Full service bar, and restaurant. Sit down meals with good table service. You can eat here, or just come in to buy wine.

Tried Soif during Burger week and ordered both burgers (one with beef and the other with cod) as well as a Purpura Sour cocktail. All items were fantastic, and I was especially blown away by the well crafted cocktail. Even more blown away by the great staff - they’re so kind and helpful. And the vibe here is very grounded. Which is very much appreciated. Will definitely come back again.
